A bit annoyed..OPEN « Thread Started on May 12, 2008, 8:17pm »
Kamm had just left the water hole where he had been in a fight with the lion king. Ugh Figures the first fight I have after leaving the city and its with the feircest were cat known to date. He sat down in the clearing and began cleaning his wounds. Even though he doubted Josiah would come back for another fight, he couldnt help but look over his shoulder occasionally, you know just to be sure. He winced as his large pink, sandpaper toung rasped over a large gash on the left side of his flank. Well it was a nice day and the meadow was sunny so he lay down and let his beaten pelt absorb the sun. He prefered to stay in tiger form. For one thing he would always be ready for a fight if someone snuck up on him and second of all he felt stronger in his tige form and always seemed to sleep better. His jaws parted in a huge yawn as he rested his head onb his large white paws and fell into a comfortable, sun warmed sleep.

Kimonti wasn’t the only one napping. It seemed a certain panther was snoozing within a tree not too far from where the tiger slept. Her furred form was one that could blend easily within the shadows and nooks within a tree, as long as it wasn’t out in the sun. And dusk was more or less dominating the skies, so it was both easy and hard to spot her. With a silent yawn that bared her lethal display of teeth to the public, the she leopard stretched and dropped to the ground, form stiffening as she stretched out. Her lazy gaze darted around her surroundings, tail switching behind her as she moved forward, started to slowly become un drowsy from her slight catnap.
That’s when she spotted the white tiger she’d bumped into before hand, the one who had had a fight with the King of the jungle. Feeling a bit suspicious, she ambled over and merely watched him, form sitting o her haunches as the amber depths of her eyes peered with a feral intensity.

Serverus awoke with a start and as his gaze udjusted to being awake, he tilted his head with surprise at seeing the panther again. Her name was Tempest, he hoped or else he was about to look really stupid. His memory wasnt ll that great, well atleast it could be better. HE was more of the go with the flow type cat. For example, even after his battle with the lion h wouldnt hold a grudge if they met again, sure he would be a bit on guard but he would pretend like they had never met. His jaws parted in another yawn his eyes flashed a brilliant blue as he spoke with slight amusement."Ahh so we meet again"He said in a voice like a bad guy from a movie. "How've you been in the past few...hours.."

Nico was walking through the medow in his leopard form. He had just left the water hole and decided to go sun himself. He walked at a relaxed pace and was in no hurry. He rather enjoyed times like this, when he could escape into the brush and rest.
As he walked he heard the sound of two people talking. One of the voices sounded familiar, but he couldn't place his paw on who it was.
He continued to walk and it was not long before he came out into a small clearing and saw a tiger, who appeared to be injuered. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a black leopard, one of his own, but directed his attention back to the tiger. "What happened to you?" The tone in his voice suggested that he really didn't care, but he didn't want to come across that way. He preferred to save his emotions for his mate.

Tempest would have spoken in reply, however the sound of her king once more had her pausing. She'd ben doing a lot of running into him lately, and she wasn't sure if this was good or bad. She certainly had a feeling her rebellious attitude might start to rub off on him. This, and only this, was the reasin why she remained silent and backed away, mor eout of respect for her king then anything. Once he spoke, she would remain silent, unless somehow brought into the conversation.

At the sound of the new arrivals voice he turned his gaze from tempest to the other black leoprd walking into the clearing. Awww shi wat have i gotton myself into...surly I cant take on TWO leapords! By the way Tempest stood silent as he approached, Kamm assumed this was her king and if he wanted her to fight..she would. Well Hi i dont believe we've metHe said as he bowed his large furry head. No sooner did he do this then chage into his human form as to not appear hostile. At this point he was beginning to have second thoughts about leaving this forest..he had seen more action here then the rest of his life put together. To tell you the truth the life style these cats had was beggining to grow on him.

Nico saw the tiger bow his head, no doubt out of respect. "No, we haven't met..... course there are many cats out there that I don't know yet." Nico shifted to his human form and sat on the ground, so as not to appear threatening. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Tempest, still standing in her silence.
He turned his head to her and for once, he showed slight emotion. He gave her a smile and motiond for her to join them. He then redirected his attention to the tiger. "My name is Nico Blackclaw.... I am the king of the black leopards. And you are?"

Kamm glanced at Tempest, wondering why she was so quiet. I am Kamm Diko I am from the city, I hope we dont have to fight. He chuckled slightly. After my lasy fight with Josoah I dont think i can handle another fight. Especially with a king. He tilted his head slightly with thought. Is there any chance I might ask you to help me better understand the ways of the forest, and where I should be. Im so lost around here, I feel as if I've lost the Tiger half of my being. Ive never been so lost before Again Kamm bent his head low in a bow. So to show his respect for th king. Even if he wasnt HIS kng.

Surprise flickered within Tempest’s being at the display of emotion, causing her four legged form to shift and contort until she was in her human form. Wild eyes watched both her king and Kamm, before she slowly walked over and took her place beside her king, confused over the display of emotion. In her opinion, her king had a nice smile, and honestly should show it more. Then again, smiles were considered a weakness this day and age, so she didn’t blame him. At the mention of the lion king, Tempest’s lips curled in a soft smile, amusement glinting within the feral depths of her eyes.
“You had luck on your side today, tiger,” she replied, not unkindly, but merely matter-of-factly.

Nico watched as Tempest joined them, then directed his attention back to Kamm. "Let's just say that none of the were cat clans are getting along, and Tempest is right, you did get lucky, that lion king hasn't been known to let those he fights live, course.... none of the kings are into mercy in these troubled times." Once he got those words out, he shifted into his human form and looked back at Tempest, who by now was already out of her leopard form.
He turned back and continued his conversation with Kamm. "Besides, I don't fight those who are already severly hurt. That would take the fun out of the fight." He had a tone in his voice that suggested that he was playing around with the tiger.

KAmm smiled at the almost friendly tone of the leapord. Severly injured? Wat these tiny scratches? These are nothing!! As if to prove his obvious lie, Kamm spun in a circle revealing a large gash in his flank that was crusted with crimson blood. See? What'd I tell ya? He layed down on his back in the grass only to stand up a few moments later with a curious glance at the leapords. So..why exactly are the clans fighting anyway?

Tempest slanted her king a look, then decided to allow him to answer that. To be truthful, she herself wasn't sure why, only that it had to do over territory. Again, as she had grown up, everyone had been at each others throats...except her. And several others in her clan- but that was a secret she'd take to the grave. "You should get that looked after...it could get infected out here."

Kamm laughed and shrugged off the idea. Now tell me who in their right mind would look after a city boys wounds? Non the less a TIGER city boy. He stretched and arched his back. you kno personnaly I never cardd for war..the human kind or your kind of war. Sure, I enjoy the occasional all out brawl but who doesnt? His opinians on the subject went far deeper then he led them to belive, after all it was war that forced him to flee the city. not that he minded it much, he was always up for adventure and thats exactly what he caught upoon setting fott in the cats territory. he looked over at the gash on his flank...okay, Temoest was right but there was truth to his joking reply, who WOULD take care of his wouds. Now that he thought of it,it was probablly dumb to get in a fight here in the first plae. Oh well, it was in his nature to fight!
